Compost
The Advanced Nutrient Solutions group developed a fact sheet with some background information about compost as well as some information about making, monitoring, turning, applying and managing compost.
Planting rate monitor
The Bugeja's, as part of the Homebush Innovative Farmers Group, modified their Bonel planter for 1.8m row spacings, and installed a Dicky John monitor so they could vary the planting rate.
As part of their GGIP project, a trial was undertaken to compare 3 different planting rates:
- 3.7
- 5.5
- 7 tonnes per hectare

Spray Rig - 1.5m and 1.8m
While converting their farm to 1.8m row spacings it was necessary for the Bugeja's, of the Homebush Innovative Farmers Group, to modify their spray rig to allow them to spray both 1.5m and 1.8m row spacings.
