What is Grower Group Services?

Grower Group Services is an independent sugar industry organisation formed in July 2008 with the aim of improving the outcomes and processes of the Sugar Research and Development Corporation (SRDC) funded Grower Group Innovation Projects (GGIP's).

The specific objectives of Grower Group Services are:

  • Enhance the existing GGIP program in terms of grower participation, RD&E outcomes, innovation, capacity building and self sustaining industry partnerships
  • Establish functioning and self sustaining partnerships between grower groups and agribusiness, RD&E providers and other grower groups
  • Establish a Grower group network to make groups more accessible and relevant to researchers, allow for better flow of information and ideas, and allow for joint development of knowledge and practices involved in managing technologies to meet industry challenges
  • Provide coordination, training and support services to the current and future GGIP's
